Character Profile: Enkidu

Enkidu was a divine weapon created by the gods to keep the Hero King, Gilgamesh, in check. He spoke gently, yet possessed a ferocious combat power impossible to imagine from his appearance. He and Gilgamesh were enemies at first, but later became close friends and went on countless adventures together.

His true nature was that of a doll, with no distinction between male and female. His appearance came from a sacred prostitute who changed him. Enkidu gained much of his understanding from this sacred prostitute, and so took on her form as an expression of respect for her.

He and Gilgamesh—Shiny from the previous entry—had an excellent relationship, but in the end, he had been created by the gods to keep Gilgamesh in check, so ultimately, he still died.

His ability was Enkidu. More precisely, Enkidu was him. Once his True Name was fully released, even a true god could be bound for a moment!

(In terms of the setting, Enkidu's binding power grew stronger the higher the target's Divinity was. In practice, however, that was not actually the case. This rule only applied to demigods. The higher a demigod's Divinity, the stronger the binding power, and it was almost impossible to break free. But a true god could only be bound for a moment, such as the goddess Tiamat in the Absolute Demonic Front.

As for other gods, that was less clear, because examples of true gods being bound were extremely rare, and Tiamat was one of the extremely powerful ones. However, the common view now was that true gods could be bound, but only for a period of time; as for demigods, they were almost unable to break free.)
