This book had come to an end here—finally, it was over. It had been on and off. To be honest, I'd always had ideas, just no time. Well, okay, I admit it: at first, I really didn't have the time, but after that period passed, the income dropped too, and then I completely adopted a go-with-the-flow attitude.
Then I started playing Warcraft, and a situation arose where the plot kept spinning around in my head, but I never had much interest in writing it down.
On the other hand, I'd been damn excited writing the new book!
So far, I'd already written a hundred thousand words for the new book. Can you believe it?
Anyway, back to this book. It could honestly be considered a rushed ending at this point. Although I wrote everything I wanted to write, I cut a lot of side plots.
For example, these Heroic Spirits originally weren't meant to just make cameo appearances—they were supposed to have a real fight. Heroic Spirit Emiya was even supposed to fight Emiya Mori, the protagonist's ancestor.
But while actually writing it, I suddenly realized, damn, I seemed to have made the protagonist's side way too strong.
And the hardest thing about writing fanfiction was character personalities. I did write battles for Cu Chulainn and Emiya, but after finishing them, I realized these weren't Cu Chulainn and Emiya—they were original characters I'd created using their settings as reference.
That might have worked for Enkidu, since he appeared early enough to have some transition, but for characters appearing for the first time, that kind of change was too much.
So, all things considered, I settled on the current version. They didn't fight.
There were quite a few other scattered side plots that got cut as well. If I wrote them,
