Uninhabited Island Exam Underway (2)

He set down the menu, raised his hand, and asked loudly:

"Excuse me, can we order?"

"Sorry, is anyone there?"

Before he could finish, Totsuka interrupted:

"You guys are from Class D, aren't you?"

"So what?" Sudo looked at him and replied.

Hearing his response, Totsuka, already riled up from his earlier run-in with Kitahara, sneered:

"Listen, this isn't a place for trash classes like yours. Trash should go eat junk food."

Before he could finish, Sudo grabbed him by the tie and said, "Try saying that again?" Sudo's fist was already raised high, his eyes burning with rage.

Seeing this, Kitahara noted that he was familiar with this move; after all, he had experienced it twice back in Class D.

"So we've been sailing in circles." Kanzaki and Ichinose said in unison.

Hearing their answer, Kitahara looked quite satisfied and spoke again:

"Then why do you think the cruise ship would keep circling in the same spot?"

The sea breeze suddenly picked up, causing Kitahara's uniform to snap loudly.

"Could it be that they're going to make us take an exam on that island?" Ichinose looked at Kitahara and slowly voiced her thoughts.

After a long silence, Kanzaki also shared his view:

"Judging by the current situation, that Uninhabited Island is indeed very likely to be our testing site."

Hearing their words, a meaningful smile tugged at the corner of Kitahara's mouth: "You're only half right. Since the school said that letting us enjoy the island for a week could turn into an exam, do you think they won't arrange another exam for the remaining week?"

"You mean there will be two exams?" Kanzaki and Ichinose both looked shocked and a little worried.

After all, they had already anticipated an exam during this trip, but they hadn't expected two consecutive ones.

If that were the case, there would be far more variables than they had imagined.

"Then what should we do next?" Knowing the gravity of the situation, Ichinose asked.

Kitahara checked the time and said: "First, call all the students from Class B to the deck, then we'll decide."

The members of Class B looked at each other, and soon a few voices spoke up—

"My hometown is in the mountains! I often went camping with my grandfather; I know a bit about starting fires, fishing, and things like that."

3. Ryuji Kanzaki (adjusting his non-existent glasses)

"Although I have no practical experience, I have studied a lot of wilderness survival materials. I have some insight into navigation and hazard avoidance."

Amikura Mako (whispering in addition):

"I... I watch survival shows often, so I know a few tricks for gathering water..."

Hearing their response, Kitahara was momentarily surprised; he hadn't expected there to be so many talented individuals in his class.

Kitahara turned to look at Ichinose, and upon receiving his signal, Ichinose began organizing their current advantages to better coordinate the group.

[Please leave all personal belongings, excluding your mobile phones, in your cabins.]

Following the announcement, students from the other classes began to arrive on the deck one after another.

Looking down at the students from the various classes, Chabashira spoke up:

"Before we land on the island, there are some important points to cover. Wait here until then."

A man dressed in white, holding a megaphone, stepped forward and said:

"I am Mashima, the homeroom teacher for Class A. First, I am glad that everyone has arrived safely, though it is a pity that one student is unable to participate due to illness."

"Now, we shall begin this year's first special exam."

"The exam will last for one week, during which you must live collectively on this Uninhabited Island. From today onward, you must make all decisions for yourselves."

"Very well, the survival game officially begins. Class teachers, please explain the rules to your students."
