As humanity's birthplace, Terra had a harsh environment. Aside from the Hive Cities, it was nothing but an endless desert wasteland. Yet countless nobles still brought their entire families here, scrambling to buy a ticket that would let them live on the same world as the great God-Emperor.
Towering space elevators stretched from the ground to the heavens. Thanks to these facilities, people could travel conveniently from orbit to the surface. Likewise, any army seeking to conquer a planet would use them as a foothold and fight fiercely to seize control.
Of course, how could there be any rebels on Holy Terra, humanity's capital? Beneath the light of the great God-Emperor, all evil would be brought to justice.
Watching the orbital elevator rumble, a Tech-Priest assigned to its maintenance sighed:
"Omnissiah above, why have there been so many visitors to Terra lately? I can feel the Machine Spirit's displeasure."
