Scorching scarlet lasers streaked through the air, sweeping across Boreas like swords.

Countless Tyranids fled in every direction. After the Swarm's will severed their psychic links, they relied on instinct to seek a way out of this land of death.

But it was all in vain. Blackwatch fell from the sky and mercilessly crushed them. The chitinous tide, which should have formed a sea of bugs, was stopped in its tracks by the much larger and more imposing Blacklight Zerg.

Staring at the pink, furry monster in front of it, which looked just like itself but was at least four times fatter, the Termagant's underdeveloped brain displayed a timely flicker of confusion. It didn't understand. They were both Termagants, so why was the one opposite it so fat? Had it been sneaking extra biomass every day?

The little Termagant's thoughts went unknown. In the final moments of its brief life, it saw a muzzle even thicker and sturdier than the Fleshborer in its own hands aimed at it. Even the living ammunition that came with it was bigger than its own.

"Pfft!"

The hefty living projectile smashed through the Termagant's skull. Scalding green venom spilled out at once, corroding its relatively thin carapace and performing the first step in processing its biomass for reclamation.

They carried different numbers and kinds of creatures. Most were Warrior Bugs, as versatile as Space Marines, but some preferred pack tactics and crammed seven or eight Termagants into the allotted space.
