A Premature Sense of Closure

I wanted to say something, so I wrote this afterword. I had to write it eventually anyway.

Does it count as a rushed ending?

I'm not sure. I still had plenty of things I could keep writing, keep telling. For example, the rebirth of the Dreadnoughts and how they would adjust to the Legion, and how the other assorted monsters within the Empire should be dealt with. Or the handling of RH, and the Salvation of the Primarchs over there.

In fact, if I wanted to pad things out, I could probably stretch the conversations between the Primarchs alone for a dozen or so chapters. That part is very interesting, because whenever I write them, inspiration starts pouring out of me. I can write a great deal without needing to draft or think it through first.

But that is also very ironic.

Because now that this book has reached this point, now that it is on the verge of ending, its daily subscriptions have only just stabilized at around 2,500. That really can hardly be called a good result. The last recommendation it got was even back in December of last year.

But I have lived through days when there were only a few hundred subscriptions a day. If I remember correctly, that should have been during the Burning Galaxy volume, but I'm already satisfied.

That means that just as my passion for creating this book was gradually being worn away, it instead truly began to show a bit of improvement. Isn't that ironic? If I were a little more shameless, I could start padding things out, and make a little more money.

No one turns up their nose at money, right?

But I no longer have the passion to continue. My enthusiasm has been completely worn away. I have
