The First Asset of His Life
At noon, after lunch, Zhang Yang drove Wang Luyao back.
As they parted, Wang Luyao still seemed rather reluctant to leave.
"So, what, our relationship ended with last night?" she asked, standing on tiptoe and lightly wrapping her arms around Zhang Yang's neck.
"Probably. Maybe we can come out for a friendly match sometime in the future," Zhang Yang said coldly as he looked at this little cheat who had cheated on her boyfriend behind his back and had even been willing to break up with him just to spend the night with Zhang Yang.
He was quite clear about the difference between physical desire and genuine feelings.
"In your dreams. Who do you think you are?" Wang Luyao snorted. Looking at that handsome face before her—a face she was destined never to have—she suddenly felt a faint sense of melancholy.
"Suit yourself. If I can't ask you out in the future, I'll just find someone else." Zhang Yang grinned carelessly, his arms around Wang Luyao's slender waist.
Wang Luyao would not stay in her twenties forever, but there would always be twenty-year-old Zhang Luyaos and Li Luyaos.
Once he got tired of one, he could simply switch to another.
Wang Luyao pursed her lips, leaned in, and fiercely kissed the handsome guy in front of her. Then she watched Zhang Yang get into his car and drive away.
On her phone, she silently pinned Zhang Yang's WeChat chat to the top and marked it as a favorite.
That afternoon, Zhang Yang went nowhere. He returned steadily to his empty home.
He opened the windows for some air, basked in the sunlight, and waited calmly for the mission to be completed.
There was nothing wrong with reaping the rewards without doing the work.
