After they'd been busy for a while, Zhang Yang saw Gourmet and his companion off.

While he was still holding Bei Wei, Zhang Yang's phone suddenly rang.
Bei Wei gently let go and gave him room to answer.
As soon as Zhang Yang picked up, Pei Xiaoru's "old classmate" rang out from the phone. Even without speakerphone, anyone nearby could hear her loud and clear.
Bei Wei blinked at him but said nothing.
"I'm here. What's up?" Zhang Yang asked, holding his phone.
"A super-interested buyer just showed up. They're not my client, though—they belong to a colleague. Come over and talk to them. We might be able to close the deal today," Pei Xiaoru said, unable to hide her excitement.
"Sure. Should we meet at your branch or somewhere else?" Zhang Yang asked casually.
"Just come to our branch," Pei Xiaoru said with a smile. She sounded especially happy. Even though she wasn't the one selling the commercial property, Zhang Yang had promised to buy a home through her once it sold.
"Oh, by the way, are you on speakerphone?"
Pei Xiaoru suddenly asked.
"No. Why?" Zhang Yang asked, completely puzzled.
"Put your ear closer." Pei Xiaoru chuckled over the phone.
