Night fell. Though the shop was busy, everything was running smoothly.

The two new employees really made a difference. Everyone's workload had eased, but no one was left with too little to do.

"See that girl by the roadside? She keeps looking over here. Do you know her?" Bei Wei glanced toward the road and suddenly called softly to Zhang Yang.

"Where?" Zhang Yang looked toward the street, curious. Then his smile froze.

"You really do know her?" Bei Wei watched Zhang Yang, her smile unchanged. "Do you... want to go over?"

"I do. I'll go over for a bit." Zhang Yang looked at the Aston Martin in the distance and Luo Xinyu standing beside it, then nodded.

"Then go on," Bei Wei said softly. "Don't keep her waiting."

Zhang Yang left the counter. He had barely taken two steps when Bei Wei called softly after him. "Hey, Zhang Yang."

"Hmm?" Zhang Yang stopped.

"I'll be at the apartment tonight—the one you used to live in. Are you coming back?" Bei Wei looked at Zhang Yang, her eyes full of hope.

"I'll be back. I'll definitely be back tonight." Zhang Yang nodded without hesitation.

Bei Wei immediately broke into a smile.

By the roadside, Luo Xinyu was somewhat surprised to see Zhang Yang walk straight over to her Aston Martin.

"You just... came right over? Weren't you worried—"

"Worried about what?" Zhang Yang smiled. "It's late, and you're standing by the roadside. Want to go inside and sit down?"

Luo Xinyu blinked, caught off guard by how different Zhang Yang was acting.

"Let's not go inside. You might not believe me, but I really only meant to stand by the road and look. I was just curious." Luo Xinyu shook her head. "My dad's arranging for me to go abroad."
