Guy stood before the monks, holding the door-wide Executioner's Blade.
The heavy giant blade seemed light as a feather in his hands.
As though it were not a weapon of murder, but an extension of his body.
His gaze swept across the monks, whose expressions varied, and he said in a deep voice:
"Shaolin's second supreme art: the Precept-Breaking Blade Technique!"
As his words fell, Guy moved.
There was no flashy opening stance, only the simplest diagonal slash.
"Precept-Breaking Blade, First Form: Severing Purity!"
The blade tore through the air.
It carried a resolute intent to sever worldly ties and cast away all attachments.
The Executioner's Blade traced a heavy arc, yet it was astonishingly fast.
Then the blade's momentum shifted, changing from a chop into an upward sweep.
It carried the sluggish, inescapable feeling of being swept up in the rolling mortal world.
"Second Form: Falling into the Mortal World!"
Then the blade light danced through the air.
"Third Form: Accumulating Karmic Force!"
"Fourth Form: Invoking Outer Demons!"
"Fifth Form: Staining Karma!"
Guy recited the names of the moves as he demonstrated them.
The blade technique was broad and forceful, its edge chillingly sharp.
Every move exuded a fierce, decisive aura of slaughter.
It was utterly unlike the compassion and serenity commonly associated with Buddhist arts.
The massive Executioner's Blade seemed to lose all its weight in his hands.
It became streaks of chilling light that made hearts tremble.
The blade wind howled, sweeping up the dust on the ground.
It forced the monks in the front row to instinctively retreat several steps.
Was this really a Buddhist blade technique?
Many monks were shaken, their faces filled with doubt.
The blade technique was violent.
Yet coupled with move names such as "Severing Purity," "Falling into the Mortal World,"
