"Buy an identity?"
Chabashira repeated Satsu's words in disbelief. In all her time at this school, this was the first time she had heard such a request.
"Yes, teacher. I assume this is something that can be purchased, right?"
"Yes, it can be purchased."
After giving an affirmative answer, Chabashira helplessly closed her eyes and said, "However, the point cost is something you could never afford. You should know that altering the school system to fabricate a student out of thin air is extremely difficult."
"Ten million points!"
Hearing this number, Satsu looked at Chabashira with a blank expression.
"Uh... Teacher Chabashira seems to have misunderstood me," Satsu said haltingly.
"I really just want to buy another mobile phone; it's not that complicated."
Now it was Chabashira's turn to be bewildered. She asked in confusion, "You mean buying a blank phone?"
"I see. In that case, it would be much cheaper, but I still don't think you can afford it."
"Three hundred thousand points!"
"Deal!"
Hearing Satsu's prompt reply, Chabashira's pupils dilated in shock.
When she said the number three hundred thousand, even Chabashira herself felt that this transaction wouldn't go through.
Although she knew Satsu had taken all the points from Kuraku and Matsuyama, how many could that really be?
The two were merely students from Class C; their monthly point deposits were already low, and they had to hand over a portion of their points to Nagumo every month. Kuraku was a pushover to boot.
Even if he could sell the personal items won from Matsuyama for points, that pile of junk and second-hand goods was stuff nobody would want even if given away for free. How many points could that possibly fetch?
Even if Satsu had his initial one hundred thousand points from the first month, it was impossible for him not to have spent a single cent. By that logic, it would be an achievement for Satsu to scrape together two hundred thousand points, let alone three hundred thousand.
But seeing Satsu's serious expression, Chabashira knew in her heart that he wasn't joking.
It wasn't until she saw with her own eyes Satsu take out his phone to transfer the points that Chabashira slowly accepted reality: the person in front of her had truly produced three hundred thousand.
Not only had he avoided falling into the trap of the one hundred thousand point monthly allowance in his first month, but he had actually tripled it!
"This truly opens my eyes. Since the school's founding, this is the first time a Class D student has been able to produce so many points in their first month. Many students in Class A couldn't even do that."
Chabashira's mood suddenly lifted. As she handed the new phone to Satsu, she said excitedly.
Although he didn't show it, Satsu felt a pang of pain from buying this new phone. Looking at the mere sixty thousand points remaining, Satsu couldn't help but sigh.
Without lingering in the office, Satsu left quickly. He couldn't wait to start experimenting with the new phone and find out as quickly as possible what he could do with it.
The final result was much better than expected. Making normal calls and sending text messages were no problem, and the phone number was indeed a new one.
The downside was that because there was no account, he couldn't perform a series of school-specific actions like transferring points.
Although this problem could be solved by using Satsu's own account, doing so would undoubtedly compromise the stealth of his shadow account.
After school, Hirata stood on the podium immediately to announce that he would be organizing a study group, but Satsu did not stay in the classroom to listen to his speech.
However, just as he reached the hallway, Satsu was blocked by Kikyo.
