On closer inspection, He Lingxuan really did spot several enormous footprints.
Judging by the gigantic tracks, each at least three zhang wide, there had to be some huge creature over there.
So He Lingxuan quickly turned and headed toward the tracks. What he didn't know was that if he'd kept walking for just another ten minutes or so, he would have made it out of the forest and found a road.
After speeding ahead for a few minutes, He Lingxuan saw the light up ahead and knew he was nearly there.

The trees whipped past with a rush of wind as He Lingxuan burst out of the forest and into a rugged, chaotic stretch of hills.
As soon as he arrived, he spotted a pterosaur flying toward the depths of the hills. It seemed to have gotten separated from its flock.
He Lingxuan's eyes lit up. He raised his hand and fired a Ki Blast straight at it.
Crack!
The golden Ki Blast tore through the air in the blink of an eye, striking the pterosaur's wing before it could react. It exploded in a cloud of smoke, and the pterosaur came crashing down.
A notification sounded in He Lingxuan's mind.
"Congratulations, Host. You have killed your first first-tier creature and earned ten upgrade points. You can Plunder the Low-level Stamina Talent. Would you like to proceed?"
Huh? Was this just incredible luck? Hadn't it said there was only a very small chance of Plundering a talent?
He Lingxuan thought in delighted surprise, then immediately replied to the system with a thought.
"Plunder!"
"Understood. Plundering the Low-level Stamina Talent... Plunder successful. Would you like to fuse with it?"
"Ha! That was easy. I thought there'd be some kind of complication... Sure, let's fuse."
As soon as he said it, He Lingxuan felt a force transforming his body, greatly improving his stamina and endurance.
He clenched his fist and felt the abundant energy within him. A satisfied smile spread across his face. Then he pushed off the ground and became a blur, reaching the spot where the pterosaur had fallen in just a few breaths.
The pterosaur's body was almost gone from the waist up, and the rest reeked of charred flesh. He Lingxuan immediately lost any desire to eat it.
He checked his talent and combat power on the system panel and discovered that he could add points to this talent, too. The talent had also raised his combat power by five points.

"System, add points to Low-level Saiyan Bloodline!"
"Ding. Adding points to Low-level Saiyan Bloodline requires 100 upgrade points. Confirm that you wish to spend the points?"
"Confirm!"
"Understood. Adding points... Complete. Low-level Saiyan Bloodline has been upgraded to Mid-level Saiyan Bloodline. Potential increased. Combat power increased by 100 points!"
It was already done? Why didn't he feel any different?
The thought had barely crossed his mind when a change from deep within his bloodline spread throughout his body. The pain felt as if he were being torn apart, and He Lingxuan couldn't help groaning.
"Damn it, you didn't say it'd hurt this much!"
