I'm so sorry, dear readers!
I actually came down with a mycoplasma infection on November 17 and have had a high fever ever since.
The nature of my job makes it really hard to take time off, so I kept trying to tough it out. From the 17th to the 21st, I managed to keep updating by relying on my stockpile of chapters.
To be honest, I'd run out of both drafted chapters and outline, which is why the stuff I wrote in the second half of this month was such garbage. (I know my writing's been pretty average from the start, and I have to admit that! But I'm still happy, since I wrote nearly a million words for the first time.) I actually ended up in the hospital on the 25th.
I had a splitting headache and wouldn't stop coughing. They ran a whole battery of tests, and when they told me I had encephalitis and pneumonia, I was stunned.
I had a complication from mumps back in second grade, so I never expected mycoplasma infection to cause something like this too.
Yeah, every update since the 25th has been dictated by voice! They put a needle in my right hand, so I couldn't type. When the nurses saw me, they even told me to keep it down.
There are a lot of people in my situation, and everyone needs rest, so I've had to keep lowering my voice. I can only squeeze out about 6,000 words a day.
I'm sure there are tons of typos. I did my best, guys.
When I was in second grade, I spent two weeks in the hospital and it cost 2,000 yuan. This time, the tests alone have cost over 1,000 yuan. It's killing me.
My writing isn't very good, but
