Tights hugged Karochi with excitement, exclaiming, "Karochi, you really are too cute!" She hadn't expected someone her own sister's age to be so pragmatic; it was truly fascinating.
His expression, shifting from slight struggle to succumbing to the temptation of money, was absolute perfection—he seemed even more like a typical Earthling than the real ones.
"Are all the people from your Planet Vegeta like you?" Tights asked, wiping away tears of laughter. If they were all like Karochi, it would be a real shame to see them destroyed.
Karochi gave a light cough and gently pushed Tights away. Shaking his head helplessly, he thought that if it had been any other Saiyan, the Earth would have been wiped clean by now. To correct Tights' misconception, Karochi revealed his background: "My race is known as the warrior race, the Saiyans. Tights, don't let my appearance fool you into thinking all Saiyans are like this. In reality, the vast majority of Saiyans are incredibly violent, and the adults are nothing short of cold-blooded killers."
Tights froze, finding it hard to believe. "Really? Karochi, are you insulting your own race?"
She genuinely couldn't see how Karochi and his kin could act in such a way.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Brief held Bulma while bringing over a plate of watermelon—a model spectator, through and through.
Karochi smiled bitterly and shook his head. "The Saiyan race works for an alien named Frieza. Our job is to wipe out all sentient life on planets suitable for habitation, then sell them to the highest bidder."
Karochi often wondered why Frieza didn't just seize things by force. Did a being like Frieza even need money? It seemed absurd to engage in such trade.
"Oh my, what a big villain," Mrs. Brief said, lightly covering her mouth.
Tights, however, had already pulled out her notebook and started scribbling furiously. This was far too interesting—a ready-made story.
Oh, come on! Seeing the three women sitting at the table without a trace of fear in their eyes, Karochi couldn't help but hold his head in his hands. They were fools who didn't know the meaning of terror.
"I'm not joking. If you ever encounter a Saiyan other than me, please run immediately! They will really kill you," Karochi said, his expression turning deathly serious.
Tights nodded repeatedly, then leaned in close to ask, "Karochi, have you seen this Frieza person? What does he look like? Can you draw him?" After all, without a visual, it was hard to imagine the scene.
This troubled Tights deeply; if she didn't have a clear picture, how could she help her readers visualize it? For a writer, that was unforgivable.
Hey, hey! What are you planning? You aren't actually thinking of looking for Frieza, are you?
Karochi was stunned. Even after such a stern warning, why wouldn't they listen?
Karochi gave a bitter, forced smile. "I haven't seen him personally. If there's a chance, I could let you take a look from a distance." Yes, if there's a chance. If I can transform into a Super Saiyan, then Frieza won't be much of a threat.
"Mhm! It's a deal, Karochi! When we go into space, we're going to see this Frieza character." Stars were practically sparkling in Tights' eyes.
See him, my foot! Tights' words nearly made Karochi lose his composure. Could one even leave alive after meeting Frieza? You'd be lucky not to get a Game Over and end up reporting to King Yemma's Palace.
Karochi didn't respond; there was no way to answer that. Forget Frieza—he couldn't even beat one of his low-level grunts yet.
Suddenly remembering something, Karochi said with a bit of embarrassment, "By the way, Mrs. Brief, I'm heading to the Lookout tomorrow to train. Could I trouble you to prepare some food? Just a little bit, nothing too much."
He didn't want to waste any more time; his training mission had to be completed as soon as possible.
Before Mrs. Brief could respond, Tights pounced over, looking excited again. "The Lookout? What kind of place is that? Is it on Earth? Can you take me with you???"
Space travel was still a year away, but judging by Karochi's tone, the Lookout must be on Earth! How could she miss out on this? She was serious about becoming a top-tier SF writer.
Karochi looked troubled. "Tights, the Lookout is at an extremely high altitude. It's not only freezing up there, but the air is also incredibly thin. I'm afraid you won't be able to handle it."
It was no joke; an ordinary person would surely die trying to reach the Lookout atop Korin Sacred Land. As for Bulma and the others staying there during the Majin Buu arc, that was a story for another day.
"That's no problem at all! I'll just wear a spacesuit!" Tights showed no signs of backing down.
Karochi sighed helplessly. She was his biggest benefactor—he couldn't afford to offend her, so he had to nod in agreement.
"That's great! Don't worry about the food, Karochi, I'll take care of it." Tights took the initiative to handle the food preparations.
Before Karochi could say anything else, Tights had already dashed out in a whirlwind of activity.
That day, every restaurant in West City closed its doors.
The next morning, Karochi was dragged out of bed by Tights.
Karochi was bewildered. It's five-thirty in the morning—do you really have to be this enthusiastic?
"Hurry up, Karochi, let's head to the Lookout!" Tights pulled him toward the door.
Laughable! You don't even know where it is—what are you so excited for?
Karochi pulled out his Scouter. With his crude ability to sense energy, he estimated it would take him ten days or half a month just to find the location of Korin Sacred Land.
Tights looked at him in confusion, watching as he put on the strange monocle.
"Hey, hey! Karochi, what is that thing you're wearing?"
Karochi activated the Scouter to search for high power levels while explaining, "This is used to detect combat power. I can use it to find the location of the Lookout."
Numbers flickered across the screen: 4... 1... 2... 2...
"Oh, this 54 power level must be Master Roshi!" A high reading appeared on Karochi's lens.
Master Roshi didn't exceed 50 unless he was in his bulked-up form.
Adjusting his direction, Karochi located the Lookout; a reading of 327 appeared on the screen.
The Guardian must have known he was looking for him, as he hadn't suppressed his energy at all.
Ten thousand kilometers to the northwest?
"That's a bit far," Karochi thought. With his current power level of just over 1090, at his top flight speed, it would take at least ten hours to get there with Tights in tow.
"Huh? You found it? Where is it?" Tights asked, full of excitement.
Karochi pointed to the northwest. "Ten thousand kilometers in that direction."
No wonder it took Trunks two and a half episodes to fly there in his Super Saiyan form during the Majin Buu arc—it really is far!
Tights was also taken aback; ten thousand kilometers was indeed quite far!
She pulled out a capsule and tossed it onto the ground.
Bang!
A bizarre-looking aircraft appeared before Karochi's eyes! Umm, no thanks, it's kind of ugly, looks a bit like a bumblebee.
It was just plain hideous; he hoped Dr. Brief wouldn't make his own spaceship modifications quite so unique! Then again, in GT, Bulma did modify a spaceship that looked like an octopus.
Karochi stepped forward and shook his head, saying, "Big Sister Tights, I'll just carry you there by flying. You should put this aircraft away for now! We can use it when I need to take a break."
If they used this thing, they'd probably be flying for three days and three nights!
Her eyebrows arched, and her eyes widened as she stared blankly at Karochi: "You... you can fly??"
Without offering much explanation, Karochi simply scooped her up in a princess carry!
Before Tights could even blush, she felt herself slowly rising into mid-air!
Tights was completely energized, unable to believe her eyes! Her stunned expression was truly adorable, with her long golden hair fluttering in the air.
"Big Sister Tights, here we go!!" With that, Karochi was engulfed in a white aura and shot off in the direction of the Lookout.
Tights instinctively buried her face against Karochi's chest, yet she didn't feel any strong winds!
"Don't worry, Big Sister Tights, the wind resistance is all being blocked by my ki!!"
Tights stared blankly at Karochi; honestly, it wasn't until this moment that she truly believed Karochi was an alien.
She couldn't help but think that this little boy, who was the same age as her younger sister, was actually quite handsome!
To be fair, Karochi was good-looking; his hairstyle was somewhat similar to Vegito's! His facial features were sharp and well-defined, giving him a mature air, and his body had clearly defined muscular lines.
Embarrassed and blushing, she couldn't help but look away!
Karochi was moving at incredible speed, the surrounding clouds streaking past! Before long, they had already left West City behind.
Tights looked at the scene and couldn't help but click her tongue: "Hey, hey, can all you Saiyans fly?"
Karochi thought for a moment: "I suppose so, and at my current speed, I'm only average among the Saiyans!!"
Karochi felt that even non-combatants like Gine could likely fly.
"Then, can I learn to fly, too??" Tights asked, intrigued.
Karochi looked a bit troubled: "Well, Big Sister Tights, to fly, you have to go through a long period of training and cultivation! It's quite grueling."
In the series, Videl had a foundation because she had been training since she was a child!!
Honestly, rather than undergoing that kind of training, it would be better to try his luck in space to see if he could find Turles, which would be equivalent to finding the Tree of Might!
Eating a single Fruit of the Tree of Might would boost his combat power by three thousand instantly—how convenient!
Amidst their back-and-forth conversation, Karochi and Tights gradually drew closer to Korin Tower.
