"Hmm? There are many powerful auras heading this way. Are they Saiyans from Universe 6?"
Sun Wumian suddenly sensed no fewer than 10 powerful forces approaching his location. Through the system's detection, he learned that the lowest combat power exceeded 100,000, while the highest exceeded 500,000.
Thud... thud... A dozen people landed from the sky one after another.
"Captain Gris, this is the place!" the person who landed first said.
"This area is the so-called base controlled by Caulifla and her gang of bandits? Good. Today, we of the Sadala Army will wipe them out," another person said, who appeared to be their captain.
Hiding behind a rock, Sun Wumian was stunned by their conversation. Caulifla? Bandits? Did I watch a fake Dragon Ball Super?
It is only Age 754. Logically, by the time of the Tournament of Power, Caulifla should be no older than 25. Shouldn't she not even be born yet? And she's a female bandit, not the younger sister of the Sadala Defense Force captain?
"System, what is going on?" Unable to figure it out, he decided to just ask the system.
"It is indeed Age 754, but because of the host, the world line has changed," the system's voice rang out in his mind.
Is that so? Sun Wumian was skeptical.
"Hey, you kid behind the rock, come out. Stop skulking around." Suddenly, the man called Captain Gris looked toward Sun Wumian's hiding spot.
Sun Wumian's heart skipped a beat. Had he actually been discovered?
"Hmm? If you don't come out, I'll take action."
Helpless, Sun Wumian had no choice but to reveal himself. A wise man knows when to retreat; his combat power of less than 2,000 was not enough to be stupid enough to fight someone with over 100,000.
"Captain, this guy is also a Saiyan, but his combat suit is strange. I've never seen a Saiyan dress like that."
"I suspect he's one of Caulifla's people, sent out to keep watch. Captain, should we capture him and interrogate him?"
"Hi, hello there. Hear me out, I'm just passing through. If there's nothing else, I'll be going now."
Sun Wumian didn't panic. He gave a calm greeting and turned to leave.
"Forget it, no need to bother with such a weak character," Gris said, waving his hand. "The real targets have arrived. We have important business to attend to."
The real targets? Sun Wumian turned to look in the other direction.
A Saiyan with black, hedgehog-like hair and wearing delinquent-style clothing was approaching with a few others.
Sun Wumian found himself caught right in the middle of the two groups.
I didn't hear or see wrong. This female Saiyan wearing baggy pants and only a tube top is none other than Caulifla, right? And one of the people following her is Kale, Sun Wumian thought to himself.
"Hey, what's your name? Get behind us and stop getting in the way," Caulifla said, hands on her hips, glancing at Sun Wumian.
"Me? Sun Wumian." He had no choice but to walk over and stand a short distance behind Caulifla and her group.
If he could, Sun Wumian would have used Flight to fly away, but he hadn't fully adapted to the 10x gravity yet, so he couldn't use the technique.
Caulifla took a look and ignored him, turning her attention to the dozen or so members of the Sadala Army opposite them.
"Hey, uncle over there, are you here to pick a fight?"
"No, I am here to drive you off Planet Sadala. I won't let you continue to run wild here," Captain Gris said.
"What? That's a big talk. I'm afraid you don't have the ability," Caulifla said, hands on her hips, laughing dismissively.
"Don't underestimate the strongest Sadala Army in the universe..."
As Gris spoke, he clenched his right fist and charged forward.
"Don't push yourself, uncle. You'll lose your ability to work, you know." Kale sidestepped, easily blocking the punch, grabbed his arm, and threw him to the ground in one motion.
"Combat power 1,000,000? It doesn't look like she's even using her full strength. How terrifying." Sun Wumian saw Caulifla's combat power through the system and almost gasped out loud.
He remembered that when a Saiyan's base combat power is higher than their Great Ape form, their tail will not grow back. The Saiyans of Universe 6 were born without tails, which only meant that their combat power at birth was already very high.
Before long, all dozen or so Saiyans of the Sadala Army were knocked down by Caulifla alone, all lying on the ground.
"Bye-bye. Bring some goods next time you pass through," she said, then turned and walked away with Kale and the others.
It was clear she hadn't used heavy force, as the dozen people on the ground soon stood back up.
"Damn it..." One of them pulled out a laser gun, intending to launch a sneak attack.
Sun Wumian, watching from afar, was just about to give a warning when he suddenly saw Kale move slightly. The laser gun in the man's hand was suddenly in her grip.
She squeezed it gently behind her back, turning it into powder. It was obvious she was hiding her true strength.
However, Sun Wumian still saw it. In that instant, Kale's combat power exceeded 2,000,000. As expected, she was worthy of the Legendary Super Saiyan bloodline.
"What's going on?" The man looked at his hands in a daze, confused. Where did the laser gun go?
Gulp, gulp...
Caulifla had her left hand on her hip and was taking a drink from a water bottle with her right, looking at Sun Wumian.
"Sun Wumian? Are there Saiyans with names like that on Planet Sadala? Besides, your strength is too weak. Where did you come from?"
"Actually, I come from Universe 7," Sun Wumian said nonchalantly.
"Universe 7 or whatever, I don't know it. Whatever, come with me," Caulifla said, walking off in the direction she had come from.
"Huh? Where to?"
"To our base, obviously. Let's go," said a boy of about ten who had come with Caulifla.
"Hey, you guys aren't actually bandits, are you?" Sun Wumian asked in a hushed tone.
"What's a bandit? We were homeless, and Big Sis brought us all back here."
So that was it. Sun Wumian finally understood. Sadala was actually much like Earth—a complete human society where there would always be homeless children. Caulifla had taken them in and then turned to the business of robbing the rich to feed the poor.
After walking for a while, he saw a number of dome-shaped houses built ahead. They looked similar to the dwellings of the Namekians, appearing quite crude compared to the refined houses on Earth.
Moreover, he could faintly see that the houses were occupied by young children.
Such a kind person—why would she be targeted by the Sadala Army, whose job was to eliminate evildoers, crack down on criminals, and maintain peace in Universe 6?
He figured she must have ended up robbing the wrong people.
