Popo stared at him with his small, dark, round eyes, his face expressionless.

"Bulma, be careful while you practice. I'm going to train with Mr. Popo now," Kasso called back to Bulma in the sky.

Given Bulma's current condition, she had basically learned how to fly. She just needed more practice.

"Mr. Popo, are we going inside the building?"

Kasso knew that in the anime, Kid Goku seemed to have gone inside the building before Popo sent him to the illusionary world to train. He thought the same would happen to him.

The anime called it an illusionary world, but Kasso didn't think it necessarily was one. It might actually be a real world. For example, when Goku went back to Master Roshi's youth, over three hundred years in the past, Kasso suspected that it might have been another timeline.

But that was only Kasso's guess.

"No," Popo said flatly.

?

Kasso froze for a moment. He remembered that Popo had sent Goku there with a machine that looked like a hand. How could they use that machine without going inside?

"You and the girl from before have already completed the first two stages of training. Those stages were meant to train your senses and bodily coordination, so you wouldn't make unnecessary movements and could sense the energy around you."

Popo's arms hung straight down as his sausage-like red lips moved continuously. "To a certain extent, your minds can be as still as the sky, but that isn't the true State of Nothingness."

"Then what do I have to do?" Kasso asked anxiously.

Just as Popo had said, Kasso had known for years, ever since Popo trained him, that he hadn't achieved true "nothingness." Aside from learning to use and sense ki, he had only managed to reduce unnecessary movements.
