In Vegeta's mind, Beerus, the God of Destruction, was the strongest being in Universe 7. Beerus had an unpredictable temper, and Vegeta clearly remembered how, when he was young, Beerus had brutally ground his father, King Vegeta, into the ground beneath his feet. Yet his father had not dared show the slightest bit of anger. Vegeta had wanted to rush forward and help his father, but a single glance from Beerus had robbed him of his ability to fight.

What a terrifying gaze it had been—cold, merciless, lofty, and contemptuous of everything. That was Beerus, the God of Destruction.

Yet today, a being even stronger than Beerus had appeared, completely overturning Vegeta's narrow understanding of the world.

After Kube knocked Goku unconscious, he said to Popo, "Mr. Popo, please take us to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber! Time is tight. The sooner I finish training them, the sooner I can rest."

Popo said, "Alright, then follow me!"

The group set off in grand procession toward the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Just as Kube started walking, Vegeta shouted, "Lord Time Destroyer God, may I join the training too?!"

Kube glanced at Gaino, meaning that he had no objection as long as Gaino agreed.

Gaino nodded at Kube, indicating his approval. At that moment, Bardock spoke again. "Lord Time Destroyer God, could my son train with you as well?"

"Your son? Who is your son?" Kube asked.

Bardock said awkwardly, "That kid lying over there is my son."

"I'm truly ashamed, Lord Time Destroyer God. My boy overestimated himself and challenged you. You taught him a lesson, and honestly, it felt satisfying. But at the same time, I feel sorry for my son. Just as you said, he's a battle addict. He's always passionate about training, and sometimes he neglects his family for it.
