Gaino led everyone in finally completing Kube's first requirement: ten thousand one-finger handstand push-ups while wearing gravity suits. When they finished the last one, everyone present except Gaino collapsed onto the floor of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

Having completed the first task, Kube appeared before them. As he approached, everyone who had fallen struggled to their feet. They felt as though every bit of strength had been drained from their bodies. Their feet trembled as they stood on the ground, and they felt like they could no longer hold on. But Kube's training had only just begun.

Kube said, "First, congratulations on completing the first stage of training. Next comes the second stage: wear your gravity suits and fight your teammates until only one of you remains standing. Then the second stage of training will be complete."

"Now, the battle begins." As soon as Kube finished speaking, Goku asked, "Lord Time Destroyer God, can we transform while we fight?"

Kube's expression turned extremely serious. "Can you Saiyans not fight without transforming? Don't you fight directly in your usual battles too? I've never seen you transform then! Remember, transformation only makes your ki stronger. True strength lies in the strength of the heart. Only when your heart is strong can you truly begin to become strong."

"Do you have any more questions?" Kube asked.

"Oh, uh, no more, Lord Time Destroyer God," Goku answered.

"If there are no more questions, then everyone, begin fighting!"

"Wait, Lord Time Destroyer God, I have one more question," Goku continued.

Kube seemed to grow impatient and shot Goku a glance. Goku immediately felt as though the air around him had turned cold.
