The powerful devouring force caused the blood in the pool to grow restless. The entire secret chamber began to tremble beneath that immense power.

Spirit Jade, standing outside the door, sensed the force as well. Even so, he remained at the entrance, refusing to let anyone approach.

Gaino continued absorbing the power contained within the blood pool. The Spirit Devouring Technique accelerated the process further, drawing every drop of blood from the pool into Gaino's body. Inside him, his meridians began to widen and grow even tougher. His bones gradually turned golden, while his blood grew scorching hot under the influence of the blood pool's power.

Once Gaino had absorbed all the blood from the pool, the secret chamber gradually settled down. Yet the temperature inside began to rise. Gaino's skin turned red like heated iron. Slowly, it began to crack and peel away. As it fell off, new skin emerged from beneath it.

When all the old skin had fallen away and new skin covered his entire body, Gaino opened his eyes.

If anyone had seen Gaino at that moment, they would have been utterly stunned. After absorbing the blood pool's power, his entire appearance had undergone a tremendous transformation.

Gaino now had handsome features and an extraordinary bearing. His skin was fair, supple, and smooth. Even a refined young lady from a scholarly family would have involuntarily felt jealous upon seeing a man like Gaino.

Gaino stepped out of the blood pool and extended his hand. A set of clothes appeared in his palm. Only after putting them on did Gaino carefully examine himself.
