Since Gaino had decided to wage war against the Demon Clan, he had to do something to demonstrate his resolve.

Gaino planned to draw the Brain-Eating Ants into his camp. Rather than recruitment, though, it was more accurate to call it exploitation. He wanted the Brain-Eating Ants to serve as his vanguard.

Throwing Demon City into chaos was the first move Gaino intended to make.

Having devised his plan, Gaino flew straight toward the Brain-Eating Ants' cave. His conspicuous flight caught the attention of a Demon Clan patrol.

The Demon Clan patrol members were deeply puzzled. Ever since the Demon Clan had taken control of the Death Wasteland, no one had dared to fly so openly through the skies. Yet today, they had run into such a reckless fellow.

A Demon Clan patrol member shouted, "Who is flying through the airspace under the Demon King's jurisdiction?"

The Demon Clan patrol immediately flew into the sky, intending to stop the reckless intruder. What they did not know was that they had provoked someone they never should have provoked.

The patrol members flew toward Gaino. Gaino clenched his hand into a fist and threw a punch. The immense force of the punch scraped sparks from the air. The patrol members who had stepped forward to stop Gaino were blasted into pieces of flesh by his single punch.

The other patrol members who had been about to stop Gaino saw their comrades explode beneath his fist and unconsciously halted in their tracks.

After killing the Demon Clan patrol members, Gaino flew directly toward the Brain-Eating Ants' cave. Some of the patrol members on the ground followed behind him, though they kept a certain distance.

The rest returned to Demon City to report to Demon King Jacob.
