His words won the approval of many commanders, but not everyone echoed Marek Koletszky's views. Some of the smarter commanders glanced at Victor von Doom, seated at the head of the table in his iron mask, trying to read his thoughts from that mask. Yet all their efforts were futile. Victor showed no expression whatsoever—even if he had, they would not have been able to see it—and he made no movement at all. The guerrilla units each had their own names.
