"This room wasn't supposed to be on my itinerary, was it?" The barbed tone made Tatyana frown.
Her hand rested on the hilt of the Chainsaw Sword at her waist as she shot the Red-haired Woman a vicious, exhausted glare. Yet the Red-haired Woman showed neither fear nor surprise at Tatyana's threat. Instead, she idly played with the shoulder-length curls styled by her hairdresser, looking relaxed and at ease. Having traded the restrictive nineteenth-century attire for a modern evening gown and high heels, she had visibly relaxed. But that also made her wonder whether Latveria's no longer needing to bind her in that outfit meant Steve Rogers' journey had changed.
"Don't be so tense, Valkyrie. This isn't a military camp, and I'm not some dangerous thug."
The term "Valkyrie" used by Natasha Romanoff came from what Latverian social media called the Sisterhood. The people of Latveria had started calling them that after they suppressed a prison riot at a facility holding serious offenders. After the inmates broke into the guards' armory, took guards hostage, and even fired at news helicopters, a Sisterhood assault squad and the newly established Legal Department guard force were ordered to put down the riot.
Armed with Explosive Rounds Guns and Chainsaw Swords, the assault squad cleared the entire prison. Every death-row inmate and life prisoner holding a gun received an early execution. There had been no small amount of showmanship involved, since the newly formed military and police departments could have handled such an incident themselves. Still, the Sisterhood's combat strength had been displayed plainly for all to see. Other prisons holding serious offenders received complete recordings of the operation rather than the news broadcasts with most of the footage removed. Those recordings helped stabilize the law-enforcement system, which had yet to complete its reorganization.
