"Move it, you lazy worm!"
"But, Matriarch Aevo..."
"Shut up! I have no interest in listening to that bitch Medusa's nagging. It's nothing but bullshit about the rights of the lowborn, the rights of Alpha Primitives, and so on!" Ghost Clan Matriarch Aevo clenched her fists, the thick muscles beneath her scales bulging. She impatiently urged the lowborn servants to dress her in armor. At the bottom of Attilan society, commoners who had failed to undergo mutation or whose mutant genes had not been activated by the Terrigen Mist ranked only above Alpha Primitives. Even the Civilian Clans, which had always advocated equality, regarded such people as slaves beyond the public façade. They had lost the noble product of Kree genetic engineering through heredity; they were lascivious, promiscuous, revolting creatures incapable of sustaining glorious mutation.
"Tell me, how are the troops preparing?"
"Other than the standing army trained to fight the other clans... I mean, the clan defense forces."
The dark-brown lizardman opened his mouth and flicked out his malformed tongue, terrified that a fist would strike his head the next second. But no blow came. Matriarch Aevo apparently did not care about her guard's slip of the tongue. The Alpha Primitive production facilities had previously been captured, but the clans other than the Civilian Clans were in no hurry. Even if that meant the Earthlings had discovered Attilan and taken military action, the Gene Council was not without countermeasures. After all, breaching the outermost shield merely allowed invaders into Attilan; the Inhumans' exceptional mutant abilities were enough to deal with them.
It was not until everyone realized that the Earthlings attacking Attilan this time seemed somewhat different that the Gene Council reluctantly united to resist the foreign enemy and retake the lost production facilities in order to maintain stability.
