"Your Majesty?" The Kymellian Clan warrior serving as guide looked puzzled, but Black Bolt patiently typed on his data pad, trying to make sure the warriors under his command understood exactly what he meant. Without Medusa to interpret, communicating with others was always difficult for him, though it did not affect the Clan Allied Forces' current tactical objective. The Kymellian warrior glanced at the data pad, then combined it with the earlier gestures and asked half-guessingly, "You mean we activate the backup Generator Units along the route and take the monorail to the clan settlement?"
Black Bolt nodded.
"But the transit system shows that the monorail gate to the clan settlement has been sealed. We can't override it." A Mutant from the Centaur Clan spoke up. She was female, with long red fin-like organs along her back and atop her head. "As far as I know, that gate might be an arm-span thick. The monorail won't be able to ram through it."
Faced with the objection, Black Bolt merely pointed at the tuning-fork-shaped device on his head.
"Your call." The Kymellian warrior shrugged and casually stroked Tetanus, the giant Shar-Pei. Everyone knew that the tuning-fork device Black Bolt used could control his power and convert it into other forms of energy—for instance, allowing his arm to punch through steel plates. According to tales shared among all the clans, as King Agon's child, Black Bolt had undergone Terrigen mutation as an embryo in Queen Regent Linda's womb. It was said that every Gene Council clan representative at the time had believed Queen Regent Linda might suffer a difficult birth or deliver a deformed monster, yet Black Bolt had still been born in human form. "I'll go activate the monorail now. But how do we activate the backup Generator Units?"
