"Emperor of the Balkan Peninsula, King of the City of Immortals, Sorcerer Supreme of Kamar-Taj, may I ask whether you can handle some government affairs now? Do the two Witches, the Red-haired Witch, or your divine foster mother still need you to do anything? Or do you have some other woman to dote on, like Natasha Romanoff, and therefore care not at all that Yugoslav frigates have already approached Spanish territorial waters?"
While waiting for the Arcanists Kamar-Taj had dispatched to repair the North Atlantic Ocean veil, Victor von Doom finally contacted the Emperor through a communications satellite passing over the Faroe Islands, together with his Government Affairs Council. His voice sounded as though it had been pickled in coffee grounds, his tone deliberately sarcastic, yet the Emperor had no way to refute him.
This vacation had indeed lasted too long. He had spent a great deal of time satisfying Natasha, and even when he had spare time, he would go out to sea to play with sperm whales floating to the surface. He had done no serious work at all. No wonder Victor von Doom was angry.
"You know I'm not suited to staying in one place and handling documents. You're better suited to it than I am, Victor." The Emperor stood atop the thick ice, Gungnir in one hand, using its spearhead to draw and write across the ice. These protective runes could prevent Outer Dimensional Entities from entering the real universe.
That was all he could do. If he had to do everything himself, what use was Kamar-Taj?
"Mephisto came here. I told you about it. I need to make sure nothing else entered Earth with him."
"As I see it, handling documents requires patience, and you've already spent all yours on those women." Victor von Doom
