An Old Friend's Favor (First Update)

Although Black Hole, the extra-dimensional being, was itself a target Kamar-Taj wanted to hunt down, that did not prevent Kamar-Taj from accepting Kunlun's commission. As payment for purging Kunlun's traitors, some members of Kamar-Taj would be allowed to attend Kunlun's martial arts exchange. The Venerable One could not even be bothered to raise an eyelid at such a request. It was something a few senior stewards could handle; there was no need to make a grand spectacle of it.

In truth, Kamar-Taj did not think much of those arrogant cultivators. Moreover, their shameless act of ruling that demiplane under the false name of "The Supreme Natural Wondrous Being, True High Saint of the Vast Heaven, Great Compassionate Benevolent Jade Emperor Who Pardons Sins and Bestows Blessings" was simply contemptible, as though they were utterly unaware that the true Taoist gods still existed in the upper plane known as Great Luo Heaven.

When the Celestials descended for the third time, all gods withdrew from the Prime Material Plane, and every Earth Pantheon born after the God Eater retracted its hand from human affairs. Kamar-Taj gained its name at that time, formally representing humanity's rise. If the Venerable One wished, she could have entered that demiplane—the so-called Blessed Land of Kunlun Mountain—and slaughtered every dragon there. However, out of consideration for Kunlun having refrained from interfering with humanity for tens of thousands of years, and for having once sent people to join Odin in the First Descent War, the Venerable One decided to leave that honor to Salomon.

The Venerable One had slaughtered dragons before. While crusading as a knight against all the Extra-dimensional Beings that had emerged in the wake of the Third Descent War, she had done precisely that—slain a white dragon that bore all of Britain upon its back.
