Salomon immediately saw the connection between the self-proclaimed Prophetess and the boy.
The boy had two symmetrical triangular marks on his forehead, while the Prophetess had two triangles merged into a diamond shape. The device at Waterfall Church bore two symmetrical triangular marks, while the tiles here featured a diamond-patterned device, though it could no longer be activated due to disrepair. Beyond that, the Prophetess had the exact same hair and eye color as the boy.
So when the boy claimed he had remembered who he was, Salomon more or less understood his identity as well. But neither the boy nor the Arcanist had time to stop and discuss the mysteries of time, much less deeply criticize the self-proclaimed Prophetess's fashion sense. Perhaps the boy was simply too embarrassed to discuss the subject, given how utterly terrible her taste was.
Following the boy's directions, the Arcanist first tossed him through a portal onto the ruins of a building floating above a vast sea of purple clouds. The masked Sage and the Prophetess followed closely behind, unwilling to let the boy out of their sight.
The Prophetess eagerly stepped through the portal, only to be greeted by a mass of blazing plasma.
The stellar-hot plasma struck the Prophetess squarely in the face—or rather, it struck her protective magic, only a hair's breadth from her skin. Her reaction had been fast enough, but she still did not come out unscathed. When she reopened eyes that had nearly been burned blind, she discovered that the damned Kamar-Taj Arcanist had already entered the next portal, with the high-temperature Plasma Weapon hanging from his thigh.
That thing had not existed before. Clearly, it was
