The New War Begins

The changes came as if the end of the world had suddenly arrived, or as if alien warships had filled the skies.

Scenes from the movies had become reality.

Modern people, who had long been exposed to all kinds of information, were even more panicked by this change. They had never known about it, nor did they have the power to change it. The peaceful future they had known seemed to become completely unknown in an instant, and most people would become nothing more than background figures mentioned in passing by the narrator.

Fortunately, Artoria did not let this panic continue for long.

She quickly gave an explanation.

"Because of the arrival of an existence that might be able to destroy the world with a single thought, we Heroic Spirits, along with some of the chosen people in the world, have been granted terrifying and immeasurable power." Artoria extended her hand and placed it on the hilt of the sword at her waist, then suddenly drew the sword regarded as the symbol of her kingship.

The sudden change startled everyone present.

Then Artoria swung her sword.

Brilliant, searing light burst from the sharp blade. Gales began to surge. Even viewers in front of their televisions could sense the might of the scene through the reporters' hair and clothes. In the next moment, the light surged into the sky. As the broadcast switched to footage from a drone, a massive pillar of light shot straight into the heavens, instantly scattering the thick clouds. With a gentle sweep of the sword, a huge sword scar stretching as far as the eye could see appeared across the sky.

There was no sound, only the image.

But the scene was more spectacular than any special effect, leaving everyone in front of their televisions breathless
