Chapter 712: It Still Depends on My Mood
The homeless man's expression and anger showed how unwilling he was to accept his fate.
He was a man who had been knocked down by destiny.
Bankruptcy, terminal illness, abandonment by his loved ones—as if the entire world were targeting him. Anyone would have been unable to bear it. Neither Coulson nor Steve felt they would be any stronger than the man before them.
Or rather,
apart from making them suffer a little less before death, being strong could not change anything at all.
"You're right." Shen Mo still wore a gentle smile, seemingly not angered by the man's rudeness. He merely smiled blandly and said, "There is no God in this world. At least, there wasn't before I came. So, are you willing to accept my mercy and exchange everything you own for a young, healthy body?"
That was right. There was no God in this universe.
Before coming here, Shen Mo had thought there was a God here.
After all, the Marvel system did contain certain mythological elements. For example, Ghost Rider's power came from the devil, and Ghost Rider seemed to have appeared in the cinematic Marvel World.
But after arriving here, he discovered that this universe had no Heaven and no Hell.
Shen Mo's gaze pierced through destiny and saw the plot surrounding the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents within it, only to discover that Ghost Rider was merely a superpowered individual with powers similar to Ghost Rider's.
At least, that was how things were in this universe.
Perhaps this Ghost Rider was still connected to demons in some way, but whether the demons' power could reach this universe would require Shen Mo to conduct further probing and testing.
Facing Shen Mo's words, the homeless man's anger had already reached a
