The silver-white giant shark cut through the waves, the sea wind howling past his ears as spray splashed on either side.

In less than half an hour, the outline of an island appeared on the sea.

From afar, the entire island was shrouded in a faint golden glow—the restriction left behind by the Sea God's Divine Power.

At the center of the island, an ancient white temple stood atop a cliff, facing the sea with majestic grandeur.

Xiao Bai slowed at the outskirts of Sea God Island. Her voice came from beneath him. "We're here. The restriction only allows those it recognizes to enter. I'll take you to the dock first. You can go up on your own."

Xiao Yin nodded.

Xiao Bai brought him to a simple stone dock by the island, then transformed into human form and came ashore with him.

"You're not going in?" Xiao Yin asked.

Xiao Bai shook her head. "I'm a guardian beast of Sea God Island, so I can't enter the temple area freely. The High Priestess will summon me if she needs anything. If you want to see her, follow that road upward. Someone will naturally stop you."

When she said "someone will stop you," the corners of her lips curled slightly, as though she were looking forward to a good show.

Xiao Yin smiled but said nothing, then set off along the bluestone path leading uphill.

Xiao Bai remained where she was, watching his back vanish around a bend in the mountain road. A trace of complexity flashed through her eyes.
