By the time the sun had begun to sink, Lin Mu finally reached his front door.
Creak...
A problem arose the moment his foot touched the stairs: the wooden steps immediately groaned in protest.
Startled, Lin Mu hurriedly pulled his foot back.
"Am I too heavy...?"
Lin Mu was speechless. Konoha had assigned him this house, and if he broke the stairs, he would have to pay for the repairs himself.
With no other choice, he dragged his heavy body around to the backyard.
After finding an open spot, Lin Mu glanced around.
"Phew..."
Taking a deep breath, Lin Mu struggled to raise both hands and slowly formed a few hand signs.
Then he did his best to control the chakra inside him and slowly pressed his palms against the ground.
"Wood Style: Four Pillar House Technique!"
His voice was weak, but the jutsu still activated successfully.
A wooden house slowly rose from the open ground like a sapling.
Looking at the house before him, Lin Mu still felt a little uneasy. Keeping his hands against the ground, he fed it some more chakra.
A long while later, he laboriously lifted his palms, straightened his back, and slowly walked inside.
"I'm exhausted!"
Naturally, the house created by the jutsu had nothing inside it, but Lin Mu no longer cared about any of that.
He collapsed headfirst onto the wooden floor, his chest heaving as he gasped for breath.
His body had never been this exhausted since he had crossed into this world.
In his previous battles to the death, the worst he had suffered was depleted chakra and physical injuries.
He had never experienced anything like today, when his physical stamina had been drained completely.
Lying on the floor, Lin Mu's limbs pressed tightly against the boards, unable to move.
