At the center of the arena.
A broad-shouldered Fish-Man with crimson skin and thick, curly hair stood there.
A red mark was branded onto his chest, formed from a circle and four triangles, resembling the footprint of a dragon's claw.
It was the mark of a Celestial Dragon slave—the Hoof of the Celestial Dragon.
He was Fisher Tiger.
Lynn looked at the legendary Fish-Man before him, the one who would soon cause the Mary Geoise Incident, and felt an indescribable stirring in his heart.
He had finally met someone familiar... no, a familiar Fish-Man!
"If Fisher Tiger is here, then the Summit War is at least thirteen years away."
Lynn silently calculated the timeline.
Luffy should still be a little brat now. The basic balance between the Yonko and the Shichibukai had yet to take shape, and the many Great Incidents that would affect the future had not yet happened.
"What a great era. Everything is just right."
Lynn took a deep breath, his gaze sharpening once more.
They said Fish-Men possessed physical abilities ten times greater than ordinary humans, and the man before him was even a powerhouse among the Fish-Man Race.
In the future, he would climb Mary Geoise with his bare hands and free countless slaves—a legendary figure!
For now, even Jinbe, the Knight of the Sea, was no match for him.
In other words, Fisher Tiger possessed combat strength close to—or even equal to—a Shichibukai!
Lynn wanted to see just how great the gap was between his current self and the powerhouses of this world.
He clenched his fists, stepped half a pace forward with his left foot, lowered his left hand, and pressed his right arm tightly against his ribs.
Hero Form: Sett.
Activated—
Energy Value: 1499/1500.
The Energy Value he had gained from eating enormous amounts of food began to drain gradually, while Lynn's aura steadily rose.
Fisher Tiger looked at the battle-hungry man before him, unable to suppress his confusion.
How old was he?
Sixteen? Seventeen? At most, not even twenty.
He was clearly still just a child, yet he had become a Celestial Dragon slave. After such a miserable ordeal, why could he still maintain such blazing fighting spirit?
Fisher Tiger rubbed his weary eyes and said quietly, "Enough. I don't want to fight you. I surrender—"
Who would have thought that before Fisher Tiger could finish saying "I surrender," Lynn suddenly stepped forward and threw a left jab at him!
Fisher Tiger twisted aside to evade it, instinctively grabbing Lynn's upper arm. Yet he discovered that the man's strength was astonishing, and the two immediately fell into a deadlock.
Spink, the host, shouted excitedly, "Ooh, it's started! The BOSS versus a Fish-Man! Place your bets at the counter and support your favorite fighter!"
"Fish-Man! Kill him!"
"Lynn! Teach that filthy Fish-Man a lesson with your fists!"
Ignoring Spink and the spectators' cheers, Fisher Tiger leaned close to Lynn and said in a low voice, "Enough. Do you enjoy living as a slave that much?!"
Lynn tensed his muscles and broke free from Fisher Tiger's grip.
He let out a light breath. "Again."
"You lunatic!"
Fisher Tiger could not understand what this man was doing, so he could only conclude that Lynn was a madman who enjoyed bloody gladiatorial combat.
People like him were much like the bratty punks in Fish-Man District, so Fisher Tiger had his own way of dealing with them.
"Let your fists do the talking."
Fisher Tiger took a deep breath, veins bulging across his crimson skin.
Lynn raised a brow. "Fish-Man Karate?"
But Fisher Tiger shook his head. "Looks like you know Fish-Men well, but my fists are more than just karate."
Suddenly—
Whoosh!
Fisher Tiger stepped forward and fired two consecutive left and right hooks at Lynn. Unable to dodge in time, Lynn could only take both blows on his forearms.
In that instant, Lynn finally understood what Fisher Tiger meant when he said his fists were "more than just karate."
His strength is fucking insane!
If an ordinary Fish-Man had ten times the physical ability of a human, then Fisher Tiger had at least fifty—perhaps even a hundred times that!
No wonder he could beat Jinbe with his fists, kick Arlong around, and single-handedly conquer Fish-Man District. He was an absolute monster!
Lynn only felt pain and swelling in both arms, as though they had been struck repeatedly by iron rods.
Before Lynn could even catch his breath, Fisher Tiger's fists came swinging again!
Lynn hurriedly leaped backward, consuming the Energy Value in his body at the same time to heal the injuries in his arms.
One of Sett's passive skills: Brawler's Bounty.
The more damage he took, the faster his health recovered!
Under the effects of his Devil Fruit ability, Lynn could expend stored Energy Value to recover from his injuries.
The more severe the injury, the faster the Energy Value drained—but at the same time, the stronger the healing effect became!
Within a few breaths, more than half of the redness and swelling on Lynn's arms had faded.
"There it is! The BOSS's unbelievably powerful recovery ability!"
Spink explained excitedly, "Do you remember that battle against the Giant Tribe? Lynn was practically on his last breath, yet he pulled off a shocking comeback! This is Lynn Barek!"
Fisher Tiger stared fixedly at Lynn. "Kid, your physical ability is impressive, but your technique is lacking. Train for a few more years!"
Bang!
Fisher Tiger stomped the ground, producing a dull boom.
Then he threw a charging straight punch!
Boom!
A heavy collision echoed through the arena.
Lynn had thrown his left fist, meeting Fisher Tiger's head-on!
Fisher Tiger felt his arm go numb from the impact. Just as he was about to pull back and readjust, a dangerous feeling suddenly surged through him.
Lynn's right fist was already coming!
And it was faster! More vicious!
Hero Skill: Might of the Hero.
He threw two heavy punches in succession, with the second right heavy punch being faster and stronger!
Boom!
Gritting his teeth, Fisher Tiger threw a punch of his own and blocked the blow.
A smile appeared on Lynn's face.
"Boss of Fish-Man District, let's trade blows!"
Fisher Tiger's face twisted as he let out a furious roar.
Human and Fish-Man, their fists collided in a frenzy.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Fists rained down on both their bodies, and the bare-handed human and Fish-Man battered each other until they were drenched in blood.
The human and Fish-Man each threw a punch with all their might, striking the other squarely in the face at the same time.
Bang!
They each staggered back half a step, then stepped forward simultaneously and threw another punch!
Bang!
For the third time, they stepped back half a pace, gathered strength, then stepped forward and punched!
Bang!
Punch after punch, without end!
Dull impacts echoed throughout the arena. No one dared make even the slightest sound; such a blood-pumping sight was not something one got to see every day.
"Huff... huff!"
Lynn wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, raised his head to look at Fisher Tiger, and could not help praising him sincerely.
"So strong!"
Fisher Tiger glared at him in fury and growled, "You lunatic who enjoys being a slave!"
"I enjoy being a slave? How did you figure that out?"
"As a gladiator slave, you actually enjoy life in the arena. Do you know how miserable the fates of the opponents you defeated are?!"
Fisher Tiger gritted his teeth. "They become the lowest-ranking gladiators. With no food or medical treatment, they can only wait to die in dark, sunless cells."
Lynn considered that for a moment, then suddenly asked, "Did you see it yourself?"
Fisher Tiger froze. "What did you say?"
"I'm asking whether you personally saw the miserable fates of those people I defeated." Lynn suddenly lowered his stance and looked calmly at Fisher Tiger.
Fisher Tiger stared at Lynn before finally shaking his head. "No. I heard about it."
Lynn smiled. "I once heard that Fish-Men are a barbaric race. Is that true?"
Fisher Tiger clenched his teeth. "That's a lie!"
Lynn nodded. "Then how is your assumption about me any different from humanity's prejudice against Fish-Men?"
"..." Fisher Tiger fell silent. After a moment, he suddenly nodded. "Sorry."
"You're curious where all the gladiators I defeated went, aren't you?" Lynn suddenly clenched his right fist, then grinned. "For the past four years, I've known exactly where they were. I used what little privilege I had to arrange for them all to be together—for today."
Fisher Tiger frowned, unable to understand what Lynn meant.
But the spectators began to erupt.
"It's the BOSS's counterattack! Lynn's counterattack has begun!"
Lynn bent down, clenched his fist, and gathered strength. His aura surged sharply, to the point that even Fisher Tiger sensed a trace of mortal danger!
Hero Skill: Wicked Blow!
It accumulated all the damage he had taken, then unleashed it in a frontal punch in a single direction.
The more damage he had taken beforehand, the more powerful the punch!
His Energy Value drained rapidly!
1400, 1300, 1200...
1000!
Wicked Blow!
The powerful force of the punch swept forward in a single direction, carrying a howling gale with it!
Everyone in the arena waited for Lynn to send Fisher Tiger flying with one punch and claim his four-thousandth victory. But Fisher Tiger, standing directly in front of Lynn, did not move.
Because he had realized that Lynn's target was not him!
It was the prison cells at the arena's front left!
The people locked there were the arena's losers—and opponents Lynn had once defeated!
Boom!
Rubble flew everywhere as dust billowed into the air.
Lynn's sudden punch threw the arena into chaos, filling it with dust and smoke!
Looking at the bewildered Fisher Tiger, Lynn cracked his knuckles, producing a string of sharp pops.
"Boss of Fish-Man District, get ready—"
"It's Prison Break time!"
