Batman Was Solo-Killed by a Human-Machine

During this time, Spider-Man continued to appear frequently all across Gotham, striking down criminals even more often than Batman did.

Batman mostly operated at night, but Spider-Man worked around the clock, day and night.

People began to wonder whether this Spider-Man was even human. That schedule was simply inhuman.

And in truth, he was not.

This Spider-Man really was not human, but a Spider-Man Suit entirely controlled by AI.

Following Du Mu's orders, the Spider-Man Suit had activated automatic mode, clearing out criminals day and night in Spider-Man's name and constantly appearing before the public.

By now, almost no one in Gotham had not heard Spider-Man's name. Several local media outlets had even run exclusive reports on him. His popularity kept soaring, and his fame had spread beyond Gotham into neighboring cities. Nearly all the public feedback was positive.

After all, this world did not have a newspaper owner who acted like a Spider-Man hater on the surface but was actually a diehard fan, passionately tearing into him on the front page every day.

That night, the Spider-Man Suit continued patrolling the city according to its preset program.

After news of the Arkham Asylum riot spread, all sorts of shady figures in Gotham emerged one after another. Gotham's crime rate shot straight up, with more than twice as much activity as usual.

The Spider-Man Suit became busy as well, with barely a moment to stop. It swung continuously between skyscrapers, rushing to the next crime scene the instant it finished handling the previous one.

Fortunately, it did not feel fatigue. As long as its energy was not depleted, it could keep operating like this indefinitely.

Just then, the Spider-Man Suit detected the fugitive criminal Scarecrow in a nearby area and immediately followed his trail to an underground pork processing plant.
