Balthazar was merely a high-ranking demon. His strength was far inferior to Black Sky, the Beast's vessel, and before Du Mu, he was utterly incapable of putting up a fight.
He was nailed to the ground by the Magic Sword, its blade piercing through his chest and suspending his entire body in midair.
Before Balthazar could reach up to pull the Magic Sword from his chest, Du Mu had already strolled over. He raised his right foot, planted it on Balthazar's shoulder, and slowly pressed down.
Balthazar slid down along the blade. The flesh around his wound scraped harshly against the blade of light, drawing a miserable scream from him, until his back was fully pressed against the ground.
"Stop screaming like a ghost."
Du Mu stepped on Balthazar and looked down at him. "Why have so many of you demons appeared in the human world? What exactly are you after? Tell me everything you know."
"Dream on."
Balthazar lay on his back, his lips twisting into a savage grin. "If you have the guts, destroy this body of mine. At worst, I'll just return to Hell."
If he died, he would merely be banished back to Hell. To a demon, returning to Hell was no different from going home.
Naturally, Du Mu knew that. He said cheerfully, "Why would I kill you? I'm a priest. Whether evil people or demons, once they come to me, they are all lost lambs. I will sincerely pray for them and absolve all their sins."
At those words, Balthazar's heart skipped a beat. An awful sense of foreboding suddenly rose within him.
"What are you planning to do?"
In an instant, Du Mu changed into a standard priest's attire and said with a kind smile, "Of course, I'm going to save your soul
