"Isn't she your companion?"
Gabriel saw the scene before him, and for a moment, his brain failed to process it.
He had lived for so many years, yet this was the first time he had seen someone use their own companion to threaten an enemy.
What kind of move was this?
"I've known her for less than a day. What companion?"
Du Mu chuckled, then said viciously, "The Son of Satan is possessing her body right now. If I kill her, the Son of Satan will lose his vessel and won't be able to descend into the human world, right?"
"If you don't want her to die, don't make any reckless moves. You don't want your plan to fail either, do you? Heh heh heh."
Du Mu let out a sinister, wicked laugh, forming an extremely stark contrast with Gabriel, who stood before him bathed in Holy Light and radiating righteousness.
Anyone unaware of the situation would have thought some villain was holding a hostage to threaten the protagonist.
Gabriel frowned.
It had to be said that Du Mu's tactic had indeed struck at his weak point.
If Angela died, the Son of Satan would lose a suitable vessel, and this descent ritual would naturally fall through.
He did not suspect Du Mu was merely bluffing.
Because this guy did not look like he was acting at all. The malice emanating from him was even more intense than that of the demons in Hell. Nothing he did would be surprising.
Du Mu did not attack without a second thought, either.
His mission was to completely prevent the Son of Satan from descending. Even if he really killed Angela, he would only be able to ruin this particular descent ritual.
Perhaps Gabriel and the Son of Satan had a backup vessel,
