"Let me introduce him. This is the king of the Trench, the Trench King."
At Du Mu's words, everyone in the hall turned to look, sizing up the Trench creature before them.
This Trench creature was tall and gaunt, with a savage and terrifying appearance. Intelligence gleamed in its eyes, while its entire demeanor remained understated and reserved. It was the sort that would be utterly unrecognizable if mixed in with its own kind.
"This... isn't this just an ordinary Trench creature!?"
The corner of Orm's mouth twitched slightly.
This so-called Trench King had nothing special about him from head to toe. He looked exactly like every other Trench creature.
"Who says?"
Du Mu snapped his fingers crisply.
A shadow soldier standing beside the Trench creature immediately stepped forward, pulling a glittering golden crown from behind his back and crookedly placing it atop the Trench King's head. Then he produced a trident and stuffed it into the creature's withered claw.
But with even a cursory glance, one could tell that both the crown and trident were crudely made, clearly rushed out at the last minute.
Du Mu nodded in satisfaction. "Doesn't he look much better now?"
Everyone:
"..."
"What the hell kind of improvement is that!?"
"Does wearing a crown and holding a trident make someone a king!?"
Orm gritted his teeth. "That's just a beast. He's not the king of the Trench at all!"
"Roar!!"
The Trench King suddenly let out a roar.
The next second, a burst of chaotic noise came from outside the conference hall doors as dozens of Trench creatures filed inside.
The already cramped conference hall was now packed like a can of sardines, leaving barely anywhere to stand.
Ricou:
"..."
This was no longer a public bathhouse. It was a public restroom.
