They were all shocked by the scene before them. Limbs were scattered everywhere, and three third-year students from the Ninja Academy lay in pools of blood.
"People from the Sanada Clan and the Takeda Clan?"
The two groups quickly identified the dead as members of the Sanada Clan and the Takeda Clan, two fallen ninja clans.
Meihuo Uchiha and Kakashi Hatake came over to Shinichi Hyuga.
Shinichi Hyuga had witnessed the battle.
They both wanted to get clues from him, and even suspected he was the murderer.
But their attitudes were completely different.
"Shinichi Hyuga, what happened here?" Meihuo Uchiha demanded as soon as he arrived, as if interrogating a criminal.
Shinichi Hyuga stood on the steps by the entrance, looking down at Meihuo Uchiha. A storm erupted around him. The Ajin's ability to intimidate, Zephyr's force of presence, and the effects of his various other abilities all bore down on Meihuo Uchiha.
Meihuo Uchiha was like a lone boat on the sea, caught in a raging storm.
"Ah!"
An uncontrollable scream escaped him. The Three-Tomoe Sharingan appeared in his eyes, but the overwhelming force immediately suppressed it. Two streams of blood ran from his eyes, which reverted to their normal state.
He dropped to one knee, eyes closed, his face full of disbelief.
"Get back and learn some proper clan etiquette! Who do you think you are, speaking to me like that?"
Shinichi Hyuga withdrew his overwhelming presence, and only then did everyone else breathe a sigh of relief.
Though Shinichi Hyuga had targeted Meihuo Uchiha, they had all been caught in the crossfire.
The pressure had felt like drowning, with someone squeezing their throats.
"Tomoya. Take me away!"
Meihuo Uchiha was the first to speak. He called to the Uchiha behind him.
The Uchiha snapped out of it and hurriedly helped Meihuo Uchiha away.
After they had walked a dozen or so paces, Meihuo Uchiha broke free of their hold.
"Thank you!"
He directed the two emotionless words at Shinichi Hyuga.
Everyone else, except those directly involved and Kakashi Hatake, who had sensed a little of what happened, was utterly confused.
Why was Meihuo thanking Shinichi Hyuga after being brutalized by him?
Shinichi Hyuga chuckled.
Did it work? Could the Byakugan's ocular power, combined with the Sharingan's and intense stimulation, awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan?
But one case proves nothing! A single piece of evidence isn't enough to support this conclusion. I need more experiments.
I just don't know what his ability is. It seems a little like the fluctuations of Observation Haki's Future Sight.
There'll be plenty of opportunities in the future.
When he saw that the person was Meihuo Uchiha, an idea had occurred to him.

Kakashi Hatake watched Shinichi Hyuga warily.
Shinichi Hyuga's strength had already surpassed his teacher's. How could anyone have killed those people right under his nose?
There was only one possibility: Shinichi Hyuga had killed them.
"Kakashi, is there anything you want to ask?"
Seeing that Kakashi had been silent for a long time, Shinichi Hyuga asked him in turn.
He had prepared his explanation long ago, just waiting for Kakashi to bring it up. But now Kakashi was holding back.
"Lord Shinichi, is there something you want to say?"
Kakashi was slightly taken aback. Shinichi Hyuga had changed a lot, but he had always been very polite to him.
He remembered how, after his father's death, Shinichi Hyuga had been the only one to stand up for his father, disagreeing with everyone else.
That had been one of the reasons he'd agreed to let his teacher, Kushina Uzumaki, pass the Sealing Jutsu on to Shinichi Hyuga.
Unfortunately, Shinichi Hyuga hadn't accepted it.
Knowing Shinichi Hyuga, he always planned several steps ahead. Surely he couldn't have done something as cruel as slaughtering fellow Konoha ninja?
