• Ye Yan absorbed the Green Lotus Core Flame and broke through to Eight-Star Dou Zhe, then killed Mo Feng and rescued Qing before reuniting with Hai Bodong and Xiao Yi Xian.
• Ye Yan awakened Yao Chen, learned about Han Feng’s betrayal, and proposed helping defeat him in exchange for pill formulas, cultivation methods, and the Sea Heart Flame.
• Ye Yan left for the Black Corner Region, then entered Jia Nan Academy and refined a Three-Pattern Green Spirit Pill with three flames, breaking through to Da Dou Shi.

Ye Yan defeated Han Feng and absorbed the Sea Heart Flame, then settled affairs around Green Mountain Town and secured land for Cailin’s people. As Ye Yan prepared to leave for the Central Plains, Yao Chen began guiding Xiao Yan, and signs of Soul Hall activity appeared near Maple City.

• Zi Yan learned she was an Ancient Void Dragon and left, while Ye Yan used the Heavenly Cold Qi as bait to draw Han Feng away from the Black Corner Region.
• Ye Yan reached the Ghostly Cold Bone Land with Ye Lin and Old Man Yin Gu, but Han Feng, Protector Xuan, and the Gold and Silver Elders caught up with them.
• Ye Yan fought Han Feng and released a three-colored Fire Lotus, mortally wounding him before Han Feng self-destructed and warned of a greater faction beyond the Soul Hall.
• Ye Yan found Han Feng’s hidden soul and watched it dissolve, then absorbed the Sea Heart Flame and advanced his cultivation technique to the Earth Tier.

Ye Yan left the Black Corner Region, reached Sacred Pill City, and advanced his soul cultivation while concealing his identities and defeating the rival alchemists. After years of cultivation and growing scrutiny from the Soul Hall, he joined Xuan Yi to search the Shennong Mountain Range for the Life Flame.

• Ye Yan left Yun Yun, Xiao Yi Xian, Qing Lin, and Cailin behind as he and Ye Lin traveled to the Ye Family, where he revealed his Sixth-Grade alchemy skill and refined a Break Sect Pill.
• Ye Yan broke through to the Spirit Realm Soul, developed the Heavenly River Cultivation Method and soul techniques, then gave the method to Ye Zhong and Xuan Yi.
• Ye Yan reunited with Xuan Yi in Sacred Pill City, revealed his Spirit Realm Soul, and arranged for Xuan Kongzi and Tian Leizi to help restore Yao Chen’s body.
• Ye Yan created a clone to separate his Han Li and Ye Yan identities, then used Han Li’s appearance to enter the Five Great Families’ alchemy competition.
• Ye Yan revealed the Green Lotus Core Flame and won the competition with a Dou Ling Pill, earning Sacred Pill City’s emblem as his clone and the other contestants completed their pills.

Ye Yan returned to the Northwest Region with Xuan Yi, reunited with Xiao Xun’er and the others, and helped Xiao Yi Xian awaken her Woe Poison Body. He also met Cailin again and began arranging for her transformation into a Nine-Colored Heaven Swallowing Python.

• Ye Yan trapped the Life Flame and brought it into the Heaven-Burning Cauldron before Elder Shennong arrived and let him and Xuan Yi leave.
• Gu Yuan asked Ye Yan to return to the Northwest Region, stay with Xiao Xun’er, and help her search for the Tou She Ancient God Jade, and Ye Yan warned him about the Soul Clan.
• Ye Yan refined a Lightning Tribulation Pill, then fused the Life Flame with the Heaven Burning Flame and advanced to peak nine-star Dou Zong.
• Ye Yan and Xuan Yi returned to the Jia Ma Empire as Xiao Yan accepted Nalan Yanran’s decision to end their engagement, and the two agreed to a spar three years later.
