Though it was called a "fair" match, Pindo was undoubtedly still at a disadvantage in this contest.
What Gawain held was the Star Holy Sword, the Sword of Revolving Victory, while the sword in Pindo's hand was merely a metal blade on the verge of breaking.
What was more, Gawain had the Saber class's enhancement to his swordsmanship, whereas Pindo had yet to recover his own class even now.
But Pindo had other things.
The battle had already begun.
Buzz—
Pindo accelerated almost instantly, Red Lightning trailing behind him as his longsword stabbed straight toward Gawain.
This was a duel, not a war. Besides, even in war, he rarely attacked humans from behind.
He was a hunter who pursued hearts, and humans were not his prey.
Gawain had clearly anticipated this move from Pindo. He raised the Sword of Revolving Victory before himself and received Pindo's thrust.
"Hmph!"
He snorted, slamming sideways into him as his sword swept upward from below at Pindo.
Pindo was exceedingly nimble. He dodged Gawain's attack, Red Lightning coiling around his wrist. As he retreated, he sharply flung up his hand, summoning the Red Lightning and sending it crashing toward Gawain.
Gawain frowned and hurriedly shifted aside.
Before the fight began, he and Pindo had talked. Pindo had acquired several abilities from the previous Knights of the Round Table.
Among them was this—Mordred's Red Lightning.
Mordred's Red Lightning could be called a mystery exclusive to Mordred. Since Mordred had joined the Round Table relatively late, Gawain did not know much about this mystery.
But even without knowing much, Gawain understood—its destructive power was absolutely nothing to underestimate.
Dodging the Red Lightning, Gawain's holy sword became wrapped in holy radiance. He slashed upward from below, sending a blade of light toward Pindo.
Pindo did not evade.
