The birds and beasts feared the massive monster and fled in every direction. Other than the three "monsters" who looked almost exactly alike, only the trees remained, creatures unable to run away.

Annanu and Enkidu nodded. They would not be afraid, and they remembered Humbaba.

Seeing the clay people's response, Humbaba let out a relieved breath in satisfaction before vanishing once more.

The clay people looked at one another, unsure how to react.

But as time passed, Humbaba came to see them every so often, asking that same question: "Do you still remember everything about us?"

Every time, the clay people gave Humbaba an affirmative answer.

This continued happening again and again.
