The goddess followed behind Annanu, as if she were stalking it.
Yet the immense presence of her divine power made it impossible for Annanu to ignore her—though noticing her was one thing; whether it wanted to pay her any mind was another.
Gods were simply far too commonplace to Annanu and Enkidu.
Although they had first activated within Enlil's forest, Annanu and Enkidu had actually gained the ability to sense the outside world back when they were still in Anunnaki.
And at that time, what had appeared within their senses was—
Boundless, endless magical power.
The seventh generation of gods and those that came after nearly filled the entire divine realm of Anunnaki.
Most gods were not much stronger than humans, and their authorities had been divided among so many deities that they were scarcely worth mentioning.
Still, Annanu and Enkidu had no particular thoughts about such matters. At their current stage, they were utterly simple-minded. They merely wanted to complete their mission, even if that mission had been assigned to them by the gods.
Annanu had no intention of dealing with Nanshe at all. It walked through the Cedar Forest, sensing Enkidu's location as it searched for him.
After the nest she had made herself lost its effect, Nanshe had been secretly following behind Annanu.
She thought she had hidden herself rather well. After all, Annanu had not even turned around to look at her, had it?
She was mainly just curious about what this creation favored by her father god was doing.
Hadn't Father God said this was a method to "bring humanity back to the side of the gods"?
So why was this method wandering aimlessly through the forest?
And so, Annanu kept walking, following the direction of its heart, while Nanshe continued trailing behind it.
