Early in the morning, Gilgamesh opened his eyes. As usual, he glanced at the distant temple through his window. When he found no trace of divine power stirring within it, he immediately started cursing.
Where had that useless goddess run off to this time? She never stayed in the city all day long.
His relationship with Ishtar was easy enough to describe.
He disliked Ishtar, and Ishtar acted as though he did not exist—even though he was the son of her best friend.
That woman was just like his own irresponsible mother. Neither of them was any good.
He picked up a cup of water and took a sip to moisten his throat, then walked over to the window. That was when he saw—
Two big white figures walking down the road toward Ishtar's temple.
"Pfft—" Gilgamesh sprayed out a mouthful of water.
What were those two troublemakers doing at Ishtar's temple?
"Siduri!" he shouted.
The corridor first fell silent, followed by the sound of hurried footsteps.

Siduri arrived at Gilgamesh's side and respectfully dropped to one knee.
She was still somewhat bewildered. She had been organizing clay tablets with Ruslan when Gilgamesh suddenly roared for her.
"Why are Annanu and Enkidu going to Ishtar's temple?" He frowned at Siduri.
"Th-" The matter had happened too suddenly, and Siduri did not know what was going on either.
But after thinking for a moment, she came up with a possibility.
"My king, I do not know for certain, but I have a guess." Siduri did not conceal anything or delay, instead speaking directly to Gilgamesh. "They may have gone to visit Lord Kurgarru and Lord Galatur."
"Kurgarru and Galatur?" Gilgamesh froze. "What are they looking for those two for?"
