"This king requires your help."
Gilgamesh stood directly beneath that radiance without turning around.
Behind him stood two goddesses.
"This is the plan you spoke of—the one capable of overturning the Anunnaki's plans?"
Feeling the power that made her tremble with fear, Ishtar stared in astonishment.
"Yes. This is this king's plan."
Gilgamesh raised his head.
They were the Chains of Heaven and the Key of Heaven.
But they could no longer truly be called the Chains of Heaven and the Key of Heaven.
Because they had become one.
"I'll help you." Nanshe's eyes were dull and lifeless, but her tone was incomparably resolute.
".I'll help too."
After a moment of silence, Ishtar spoke as well.
They could see what Gilgamesh intended to do.
What Gilgamesh intended was... lockdown.
Or perhaps it could be called sealing.
Using this anti-divine weapon that had become one, he would drive divinity out of Mesopotamia!
Fragments of the key rose and surged like golden clouds, spreading in every direction. Meanwhile, infused with divine power, the chains extended bit by bit toward the heights of the sky, beyond the Anunnaki, and even into the cosmos.
"Is there really... no room to turn back?"
Besides Nanshe and Ishtar, the voice of a third deity rang out behind Gilgamesh.
"Gilgamesh, my child."
Gilgamesh turned around.
It was Enki.
Perhaps having sensed something, Enki had rushed over from Eridu.
He looked at Gilgamesh with sorrow in his eyes, the Water of Life already rising around him.
Both Nanshe and Ishtar became vigilant. Nanshe drew her Springwater Sword, standing against her father for the first time; Ishtar had even drawn Maanna, ready to strike the instant Enki made a move.
Nanshe could no longer accept a world without Annanu. The gods of the Anunnaki should not continue to exist
