For some reason, Tiamat had revived upon this land. What she awakened was not limited to Abzu, who was still howling and roaring within the Underworld.
There were also Tiamat's children—the so-called Eleven Demonic Beasts.
They were eleven Demonic Beasts Tiamat had created in her mingled grief and fury when she was attacked by her own descendants. Each possessed strength on the level of a chief god, or even greater.
Yet Tiamat had ultimately pitied the gods. Some of the Eleven Demonic Beasts were slain, some imprisoned, and some tamed. In the end, Tiamat herself was split in two, her body transforming into magical energy and merging with the sky and earth.
But now that Tiamat had revived, her Eleven Demonic Beast children had also awakened once more across the land of Mesopotamia as Tiamat's tentacles.
The venomous dragon Bashmu, the scorpion demon Girtablilu, the fishman Kulullu, the demon bull Kusarikku, the storm lion Ugal, the mad hound Uridimmu, the flood dragon Mushmahhu, the raging storm Umu Dabrutu, the venomous viper Mushhushu, and—
The first so-called "god" besides Tiamat and Abzu—Lahmu.
The Lahmu Tiamat had created back then was not the god Lahmu, but a Demonic Beast with the same appearance and abilities as Lahmu. It was also the leader of the Demonic Beasts.
There was not much Uruk could do now. Adekate still had to construct defenses against the Demonic Beasts to fend off the scattered packs assaulting Uruk. All they could do now was weaken Tiamat as much as possible.
Zi Juan rode her chestnut steed, Jujube Steed, while Ushiwakamaru relied on the speed granted by her Rider class to search the wilderness beyond Uruk. Two days had already passed, with no particularly promising results.
