Annanu found Nanshe, who had just finished unleashing her Noble Phantasm and was still looking around to assess the situation. Without saying much, he grabbed her hand and took off into the air.
"Eh!? Wait—" Caught in Annanu's grasp, Nanshe was a little bewildered.
"Wait. Let's get up there first and see how Tiamat reacts." Annanu looked into Nanshe's eyes and gently shook his head.
His expression was somewhat grave.
The plan to destroy Tiamat's legs had failed.
So they really couldn't be destroyed? Or had their destructive power simply not been enough?
Although Tiamat had fallen, the aura coming from her
was instead growing ever more intense.
Annanu and Nanshe landed on the back of a winged dragon. Lemoni also returned to Lawrence's side, while Quetzalcoatl rushed back as well. None of them had poor senses, and they watched Tiamat tensely.
"Are we still unable to force another mode of action out of her this time?"
Annanu's voice carried worry and fear.
If, just like last time, all they could do was make Tiamat lie down for a short while, then the meaning of unleashing so many Noble Phantasms would be diminished beyond measure.
Tiamat was trying to prop up her upper body with both hands, but what drew even more attention were the two enormous horns behind her.
"Hey, don't you think those horns look a bit like..." Lawrence said to everyone, cold sweat covering her face. "Wings?"
Crack—
Amid an ear-splitting roar, those massive horns grew even larger.
They grew larger, and then their inner sides split apart, revealing rows of smaller horns within—densely packed enough to make one's scalp tingle.
"...It was right not to listen to that bastard Ishtar. Tiamat, the Mother Goddess... she isn't incapable of approaching the sky." Annanu spoke through gritted teeth.
