"What's going on? Has the Spiritron Transfer already ended?"
"Ah! My head! Why does it hurt so much?!"
Lawrence woke up in Chaldea's infirmary, looking utterly bewildered as he rubbed the back of his head, before grimacing in pain.
"You're a little slow on the uptake, Lawrence." Leonardo da Vinci sat beside the bed, peeling an apple.
"So it's over, then?" Lawrence's mouth twitched as he watched da Vinci hold out the apple peel to him.
"Mm, it's over."
An unfamiliar voice came from the other side.
Lawrence:?
"Why the hell are you here?!"
Standing on the other side of the bed was none other than Sherlock Holmes, who had been absorbed by James Moriarty after his defeat in Shinjuku.
"Well, it's been quite some time since I last tasted defeat, hasn't it? What's more, I was defeated by my archnemesis, Moriarty."
"So, as a gesture of reflection, I'll be staying here for a while."
Holmes asked for Lawrence's opinion.
After all, Lawrence was currently an important member of Chaldea. Holmes felt it was necessary to ask for his thoughts.
"I don't mind. Leonardo is the acting director now, so as long as you get her approval, there's no problem. So get that damn apple peel away from me!!!"
Lawrence was getting a little heated from da Vinci's antics.
"Don't worry, I already gave permission."
Da Vinci chuckled as she tossed the apple peel into the trash, then handed Lawrence a slice of apple.
"If you want to investigate, that's fine too. After all, your Saint Graph is a complete mess from all those frequent Spiritron Transfers. At the end of the day, you're just third-rate combat power confined to a wheelchair, right?"
