"Saber!!!"
Shirou Emiya could not help shouting.
It was not because of Berserker or anything like that. After Anno unleashed that terrifying torrent of magical energy, his body swayed, and then he dropped to one knee.
The armor on his left arm seemed somewhat damaged, and his body trembled slightly as well.
Was his mana still too insufficient...?
Anno gritted his teeth.
If Emiya Kiritsugu's quality as a Master was a 1, then Shirou Emiya's quality as a Master now was perhaps only 0.1.
Thus, the mana Anno could obtain from Shirou Emiya as his Master was practically negligible. After releasing his Noble Phantasm, he had fallen into a state where he could barely even maintain his manifestation.
"Don't come over, Shirou!"
Anno roared behind him, forcing himself back to his feet as best he could.
Sometimes, he truly envied Norla, Oushen, and those lock-and-key brothers—their innate ability to draw mana from the world.
Shaking his head, Anno looked ahead with a grim expression.
He saw the sight he least wanted to see.
Berserker was still standing there.
Though his body had nearly been ravaged beyond recognition, he had not vanished.
He was still standing.
His flesh was even continuously regenerating.
A smile appeared on Illya's face.
"How interesting."
"Saber!!!"
Shirou Emiya could no longer heed Anno's warning. He hurried over and, following what Kirei Kotomine had just taught him, placed his hand on Anno's shoulder.
"What did you come over here for? If you can't fight, then don't come here and get in the way!"
Anno's tone turned stern.
"I know I'm an incompetent Master, but I'm still a Master, aren't I?"
"So... I can't just watch my Servant fight alone. Even if what I can provide is negligible, if I do nothing at all—"
"Urgh—"
Mm—
Shirou Emiya
