"You..."
Illya remembered.
Though it was a memory from long ago, once it was brought up, it quickly came back to her.
She remembered the Einzbern Family ten years ago. Back when she had still played on her father Emiya Kiritsugu's shoulders, this knight clad entirely in white had indeed stood beside her parents.
His expression had been stern, and he had rarely smiled. Illya had even been a little afraid of him back then.
"...You were the Servant summoned by that man Emiya Kiritsugu to take part in the Holy Grail War?"
Illya's expression instantly turned solemn and disgusted as she glared viciously at Anno.
"I see. So in this Holy Grail War, you were summoned by that Emiya Shirou again. In a sense, you really are impossible to get rid of."
That man.
Anno did not care about Illya's mockery. What concerned him more was how she referred to Emiya Kiritsugu.
Normally, would a daughter directly refer to her own father as "that man"?
There had to be some misunderstanding behind this.
Anno felt a pang of sorrow. He had once seen Illya and Emiya Kiritsugu playing in the snow with his own eyes. Why... had things become like this now?
He shut his eyes in pain. He seemed to see Emiya Kiritsugu and Irisviel standing there with smiles on their faces, with the innocent and lively Illya before them.
Even Emiya Kiritsugu back then had been someone who smiled at his daughter. Why, now... now...
Anno no longer wanted to ask himself that question.
"Impossible to get rid of, huh? Perhaps so."
He gave a bitter laugh.
"Perhaps I was summoned into this Holy Grail War once again precisely for the scene before me."
"Illya, child, can you tell me... what you have gone through these years?"
