So... what would the final outcome of this battle be?
No one knew.
Perhaps out of respect for Shirou Emiya, both Anno and Adelson had left halfway through the fight between the two Shirous.
Rather than a battle, it was more like an internal dispute born from this so-called "self-identity."
What the two of them were thinking, honestly, wasn't important.
As long as they still held those thoughts in their hearts, nothing else mattered.
Anno could see it—even if Archer had summoned not him, but his king, during the Fifth Holy Grail War of his own life, his convictions would not have wavered.
Perhaps it was merely some grumbling about life. Seeing Shirou Emiya, his younger self who had taken another path, had left him somewhat irritated.
Men were like that.
Seeing their childish, immature former selves always made them uncomfortable.
Anno was a man too. He had caused no small amount of trouble in his youth, and he understood how that Shirou Emiya felt.
So...
"Looks like neither of you can keep fighting."
Anno walked up to them and spoke with a smile.
Under the night sky, Shirou Emiya and Archer lay on opposite sides. The air had returned to stillness, and the only thing reflected in their eyes was the bright moon overhead.
The weather was fairly good today. There was not a cloud in the sky, allowing the moon to be reflected in their eyes.
"Mr. Anno..."
Shirou Emiya responded weakly.
Archer said nothing. He merely raised his head to look at the sky. At least the moon was not as blinding as the sun.
"Since you can't fight anymore, go home."
Anno extended a hand to each of them.
"...Okay, urgh—"
Shirou Emiya tried to take Anno's hand, only to grimace in pain and lie back
