"Are you tired?"
"Are you suffering?"
"Do you hate?"
"Do you—lament your own Fate?"
Norla drifted in a daze.
Yes... whose voice was that?
Yes... who was speaking?
He seemed to be standing within a wondrous space.
White-haired, red-eyed girls surrounded him.
The girls were beautiful, the girls were gentle, yet their faces bore an unforgettable hatred.
"Who... are you?"
Norla opened his eyes with some effort.
He saw everything around him.
The girls were piled atop one another, packed together, forming—
A beautiful, yet terrifying tableau.
"We are you."
"Little Prince."
A cute little boy came before him and greeted him with a smile.
—That was his own face.
Norla froze, not knowing how to respond for a moment.
"Get lost!!!"
A furious roar erupted from behind Norla.
It was a terrifying-looking monster.
The monster roared, seemingly trying to intimidate the boy who looked just like Norla.
"This isn't the Prince's territory! Get out of here!"
"D-Don't be like that. We can all get along peacefully."
Though he had no idea how the conflict had started, Norla instinctively said so.
"Impossible!"
The monster's eyes widened furiously.
"There can never be peace between a monster and a Prince! There can only ever be one monster's Prince at a time!"
"If you want peace, one side must disappear!"
The Prince said nothing, merely smiling at the monster.
"But... why does it have to be this way?"
Norla truly could not understand.
"Because only by becoming a Prince can a monster stand beneath the sunlight."
"And only by destroying the monster can a Prince live without fear for his life."
The white-haired, red-eyed girls surrounding Norla spoke up to explain.
"The monster hates the Prince, and the Prince detests the monster."
"There is such thing as anger without reason in this world."
